L... I really enjoy reading your blog. It makes me feel close to you even though I am a thousand miles away living a life completely unlike yours (kids, stay-at-home mom, driving a mini-van for pete's sake!).Your tree is beautiful and you and Wes look like happy and content.
Lauren, I finally got the website right and I'm bookmarking it! Thank you for writing about grandma Beverly. I love how happy she looks in the picture you posted of her. Your tree is beautiful! I don't know if he told you, but every Christmas, Wes would NOT allow white lights to go on out family tree. How things have changed... :) Hope to talk to you soon
Yes, I won the Christmas tree battle this year-mostly because we only had white lights, not enough room for a huge tree, and not enough ornaments to cover the Henricksen-size Christmas trees. We'll see what happens next year:) Probably ugly colored lights...
BTW, I hear that white lights are also at your house in Seattle this year--so it looks like Wes' influence has finally worn off:)
Lauren, Thanks for honestly and humbly sharing your struggle and your need. I only now read it your recent posting (Monday), and I hope you were able to navigate through your week-end of all day Sat. discernment, teaching Sunday school, studying, and trying to eat, sleep, and brush your teeth---as well as finding a slice of time to relax and reflect on the coming a Christ to our world. You are strong and capable, and WILL make it through this rough time. Just think, in just a few days you'll be listening to music with Wes next to you in the car, traveling to Michigan to enjoy the holidays. Love, Karen
