Savannah in the Spring

Steven and Dora came down to Atlanta for the weekend. We spent Thursday night on the town--eating Flying Biscuit at Piedmont Park and drinking the best beer in the city at Brickstore.

Friday morning, we headed to Savannah where it was gorgeous. We walked the city's tree-lined streets, draped with Spanish moss. Enjoyed the river, the squares, the restaurants and the architecture.

Saturday, my cousin Mark and his wife Thea took us out kayaking around the salt marshes.
Along with the fish, birds and Georgia rednecks, we saw dolphins that swam right by our boat. Not as cool in this picture as in real life!!
How many kayaks fit in an Explorer? A lot.
We enjoyed some post-kayaking beers at Mark and Thea's. And so did their cow. I wish I had more time to write on here. After finals at the beginning of May, life will be a bit easier. But, in other news--I was accepted for a 12 month fellowship in the Office of University-Community Partnerships! I only applied for a 3 month summer fellowship, but they offered me a full year which means not only that I have summer employment, but work through the school year (and a butt-load of money, too) as well. What a blessing!
